Role Title: Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatric Mental Health) ADHD Clinic
Role Location: Vhi 360 Clinic Carrickmines.
A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatric Mental Health) ADHD Clinic. The clinician will be responsible for delivering nonpharmacological management and intervention to children and young people aged 6 - 16 years who present with mild to moderate challenges associated with ADHD alongside a full multidisciplinary team.

Role Purpose- Work in collaboration with the other members of the MDT team in the planning and delivery of services for children attending the ADHD clinic.
- Provide individual and group interventions which will include assessment planning implementation and evaluation of treatment programmes tailoring interventions for specific ages and or/presenting difficulties.
- Operate within the scope of Occupational Therapy practice within Ireland and in accordance with Vhi standards & guidelines.
Education & Experience- Registered as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
- Experience in community based mental health services.
- Experience of developing applying and reviewing an evidence-based approach to decision making.
- Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values.
Skills and Abilities- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills.
- Exceptional planning and time management skills to effectively prioritises tasks and can manage multiple complex tasks.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to measure success of health and wellness initiatives.
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards.
- Demonstrate evidence of having applied / used appropriate assessment tools and treatments and a knowledge of the implications of outcomes for service users.
