Biological Assay Group Leader

Technical Leadership & Assay Execution

• Provide scientific leadership in effector function testing for biologics.
• Design and perform cell-based assays to support preclinical development.
• Execute ELISAs luciferase reporter assays and flow cytometry.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure data integrity.
• Ensure timely delivery documentation and support for study reports.

Operational & Quality Oversight

1. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
2. Demonstrate strong client service teamwork and collaboration.
3. Proactively plan and multitask to optimize productivity.
4. Ensure adherence to the companys quality policy and identify/correct deviations.
5. Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
6. Approve employee time entries and support company policies and procedures

Team Supervision & Development

1. Coach train and mentor team members to support their professional growth.
2. Foster a positive team environment that promotes motivation and morale.
3. Coordinate daily workflow and monitor progress to meet turnaround times (TAT).
4. Conduct performance reviews manage job plans and participate in succession planning.
5. Interview candidates and maintain accurate training records for assigned staff.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in biology chemistry or related field or equivalent experience (4 years related lab experience)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Extensive biology experience including mammalian cell culture techniques and cell-based assay development
• Experience with ELISAs luciferase reporter assays and flow cytometry desired
• Strong computer and organizational skills with proficiency in Excel (SPR expertise and QualityDocs experience a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on quality teamwork and employee engagement
