What You Get To Do:
The Employment Specialist (ES) is an essential position for services designed to manage a dynamic caseload of individuals receiving Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) by helping them find and retain community-integrated employment opportunities that line up with their strengths and interests.
The person in this position has the responsibility to carry out a variety of duties including but not limited to: managing a caseload of individuals
- Assessment of intakes requiring independent judgement of proposed contracted services and authorizations
- Processing of referrals
- Completion of vocational profiles
- Job development plans
- Navigation of the on-boarding/training process and transitioning to long-term waivered employment support services.
This position will work closely with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to market services build relationships and cultivate referrals. The Employment Specialist (ES) will be required to address complex billing and invoicing procedures independently and will be required to think both critically and strategically to manage contacts in Dungarvins VR referral network primary contacts at businesses throughout the community.
Qualifications :
What Makes You A Great Fit:
- Two-year degree with two-years experience working with people with disabilities or four years of experience without a degree is required. Bachelors degree preferred
- Must be self-motivated able to manage time and problem-solve.
- Must be able to lift and provide physical assistance to program participants.
- Must be able to teach and coach handle rejection have strong interpersonal communication skills and be adept in the use of technology.
- Must also be willing and able to represent both the person served and Dungarvin to Vocational Rehabilitation businesses and members of the community.
- Knowledge of the employment environment and hiring processes are strongly preferred.
- A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process.
