Intern, MScPhD student for Sustainable HVACs

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic MSc/PhD student to join Bosch for a fulfilling internship opportunity! This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a corporate research environment allowing you to contribute to the development of intelligent controls for Residential Air Conditioners (RACs) while learning from experienced professionals.

As an Intern you will support experimental and data analysis activities related to energy management and thermal comfort optimization in collaboration with experienced team members. 

  What you will do (Key Responsibilities)

• Conducting mmWave radar tests in Robert Bosch SEA Corporate Research HVAC testbed/lab.
• Data analysis from radar sensor for detection of human presence and behavior.
• Data post-processing and visualization monitor detection performance.
• Translate radar insights into smart automations for air conditioning operation adapting to user behavior.
• Ensure smooth operation of RAC tests data collection analysis and validation of concepts.

Qualifications :

What Were Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

• Able to work full time for a period of at least 3 months (Starting Jan 2026).
• Educational background in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experienced in sensor data collection communication protocols IoT devices.
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics air conditioning fundamentals. Knowledge of Python SQL for data analysis Docker Home Assistant platform would be beneficial.
