Job Description Summary

Works under the supervision of the Director of Digital and Email Marketing with close coordination to the Fan Experience Ticketing Operations and Sales Development and Communication teams. The primary responsibilities include supporting customer relationships through the creation management and execution of strategic digital and email campaigns in an effort to deliver messaging that engages fans alumni and the greater Winston-Salem community and invite them into a closer relationship with Wake Forest Athletics.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for email and digital communications incorporating diverse messaging segmentation and forms of communication with direction from supervisor.
  • Work with creative staff to curate content for use on athletics emails web pages and digital campaigns that enhances the profile of Wake Forest Athletics and invites readers to act.
  • Create and distribute emails to fans season ticket holders donors and alumni using Eloqua marketing automation platform.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns including but not limited all lead generation display retargeting and social media advertising strategies.
  • Design and execute web pages that promote marketing and sales objectives and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop and execute marketing automation campaigns that generate ancillary revenue and enhance the customer journey
  • Coordinate with athletics development and alumni relations to produce cohesive communication plans.
  • Manage day-to-day digital requirements for student rewards program Screamin Demon Rewards and kids club program Jr. Deacs.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies regarding communications materials involving planning design cost estimates flighting and channel placement.
  • Regularly analyze performance of emails and other digital communications and provide strategic recommendations for continued improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Minimum of one-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Preferred Education Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Experience in or exposure to athletics preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
  • Proven expertise in communications including writing proofreading and editing skills.
  • Extensive computer skills in both Windows and Mac environments.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint; expertise in using e-mail packages WebEx and the Internet.
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator).
  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects occurring within a short timeframe; must be very detail-oriented.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems associated with development-related communications and initiatives.
  • Ability to develop constructive working relationships with University employees at all levels vendors alumni donors friends and/or the general public.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and/or independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
