Intermediate School Long-Term Substitute Social Worker
(This assignment is effective mid-January thru mid-April 2026 with the possibility of extension)
The Environmental Charter School is looking for a highly dedicated and motivated individual for our school. Successful candidates must be progressive-minded and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration candidates should have a degree or experience in education a strong work ethic and a whatever it takes attitude.

OVERVIEW
As a member of the schools Student Services team the individual will put in place supports to ensure each childs success. This includes but is not limited to family engagement for school-based support collaboration with community agencies in securing needed resources for unhoused students and families participation in school-wide support teams and collaboration with school administration. Candidates should be energetic and progressive-minded with a willingness to work collaboratively with all educators at the campus.

Educational Background and Work Experience
- Masters degree in social work
- PA School Social Worker certification
- Prior school-based experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with charter schools and intermediate grade (3-5) students is helpful
Compensation and Benefits
$150/day plus participation in a 403b retirement plan after 400 hours worked.

Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required. This includes Arrest or Conviction disclosure Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 344) FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114). Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandated Reporter Training also will be required.
