Job Summary
The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered90% (36 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at ourUICC Coralville Oakdale Clinic.This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing more complex situations performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Current valid drivers license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

Schedule: Variable hoursMonday - Friday between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends on call time or holidays required.
Location: Coralville IA.(or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Pay Grade: 11
Salary: $44557.92 - $66377.52 (at 100% time) Hourly: $21.34 - $31.79 (based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification/License:
- Drivers License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
- Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication.
Highly Desired Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork and autonomy in all aspects of the role.
- Strong phlebotomy skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous EPIC experience.
- Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
- Previous immunization and phlebotomy experience
Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position
