Job Summary
A position is open for a full-time research assistant in the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Womens Hospital. The candidate will conduct research utilizing ultrasensitive single molecule array (Simoa) assays for detecting biomarkers linked with Long COVID and infectious addition the candidate will have the opportunity to help develop Molecular On-bead Signal Amplification for Individual Counting (MOSAIC) assays to improve the sensitivity of previously developed Simoa assays targeting viral antigens. Specific applications may include but are not limited to the characterization of biomarker concentrations in blood or other bio-fluids using assays developed using Simoa/MOSAIC technology. Guided by postdoctoral fellows the candidate will work independently to measure biomarkers linked with COVID-19 and other viral infections. Research conducted by the candidate in collaboration with the Research Team will provide new insights into the underlying mechanisms of Long COVID with potential applications towards new diagnostic and treatment strategies.Qualifications
