We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D CAD Draftsperson to join our automation team. This role will be responsible for creating updating and maintaining detailed 3D models and technical drawings to support product development and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precise 3D CAD models and 2D drawings based on design concepts sketches or specifications.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect engineering changes.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to ensure models and drawings meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain drawing and model documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Support prototype builds and provide accurate drawings to manufacturing teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree in Drafting/Design Engineering Technology or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Inventor or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles tolerancing and technical drawing standards (GD&T experience a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers designers and production staff.
