Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented and strategic thinker to join our team as a Financial & Business Operations Analyst. This role is responsible for interpreting financial data identifying trends and providing actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills a solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Work Location:Oak Ridge TN (preferred); however Remote Work will be considered

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience: BA or BS in engineering business finance accounting or management discipline or related field and at least 5 years of experience. Education and/or relevant experience may be considered in placement of education and/or experience requirements. Must be a citizan of the United States.

Demonstrated Experience in the Following Areas Perferred:

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

  • Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting forecasting and analysis.
  • Develops and maintains project plans and Estimate at Completions (EACs)
  • Works with program and project managers to develop program and project budgets

Business and Data Analysis

  • Supports the updates to financial accounting system and process and supports monthly financial closes
  • Adept at financial modeling and using and updating financial tools (e.g. Excel QuickBooks SAP Unanet)
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses ROI assessments and scenario modeling.
  • Supports analysis such as program cash flow indirect rate variance and monthly program budget variance reports

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Generates monthly program invoices internal financial reports expense reports
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting

Compliance & Project Support

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
  • Provides key input and analysis in support of monthly and quarterly operating reviews.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand team needs and define role requirements
  • Support human capital management including developing and executing sourcing strategies
  • Build and nurture talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of DOE/NNSA programs is preferred
  • Accounting fundamentals (e.g. GAAP financial statements)
  • Data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel Power BI Tableau)
  • Financial modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Presentation skills for sharing insights with leadership
  • Understanding of government accounting practices
  • Adept at problem solving and finding/fixing problems early
  • Adaptability in fast-paced and changing environments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to Paschal values and ability to represent Paschal in a highly effective manner
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and communicate across organizations.
