Clinic RN Woman's Breast Specialists Days Full-time

Womans is more than just a hospital. We offer a variety of outpatient health clinics specialty practices and services for the community. Womans Breast Specialist Clinic is looking for a full-time Clinic RN.

Requirements:

• One year of RN experience
• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting highly preferred
• Active RN licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities of the Clinic RN include but are not limited to:

• Obtains relevant data (e.g. physical assessment history diagnostic data etc.) and communicates data to other health team members appropriately according to nursing standards.
• Keeps accurate information regarding referrals made patients seen and surgeries scheduled.
• Adheres to DHH and JCAHO standards including medicine storage tracking and use in addition to medication administration training and competencies adopted by management.
• Implements physicians orders and utilizes nursing judgement to provide nursing care by measuring and monitoring basic physical and psychological needs according to nursing standards of care.
• Instructs and educates patients and significant others in accord with patient needs.
• Documents care education and patient response accurately concisely and completely according to nursing standards.
• Assists physicians with procedures and examinations as needed in accordance with hospital and department standards. Assists with obtaining informed consents when required.
• Evaluates patients condition and delivers appropriate nursing interventions according to nursing care standards and/or departmental procedures.
• Assesses and discharges patients according to clinic policy and procedure.
• Manages patients with or without specific medical complications in accordance with specified procedures and physician orders demonstrating knowledge of procedures and possible complications.
• Communicates pertinent information regarding patient status problems and anticipated problems in an accurate complete concise timely and courteous manner.
• Maintains competency in nursing and technical skills as appropriate to assigned area and according to hospital policy and procedure.
• Performs other duties assigned by Department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Womans Hospital.

Hours

Monday Friday 7:30am 4:30pm

Most Fridays 7:30am -2pm
