Job Summary
Responsibilities
Peraton requires Network Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO/J6 organization and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Duties Include:
- Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance connectivity and related network problems.
- Administers LAN/WAN security antivirus and spam control measures.
- Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot the network.
- Provides administration of network and communications systems including LAN WAN and Government intranet sites.
- Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links.
- Documents and maintains network topologies.
- Resolves ticket requests.
- Resolves incidents and escalates to the Engineering team when required.
- Primary contributor of the Engineering team in the development of complex engineering projects.
- Leads the Engineering team through the development of small engineering projects.
- Builds and reviews engineering documentation.
- Manages systems using IAM SIEM systems (e.g. Splunk) EDR tools IPS and other tools used in support of zero trust by vendors such as AppGate Okta Splunk ForgeRock Nutanix Zscaler Cisco CrowdStrike AWS etc.
- Leads critical incident resolution.
- Contributes to incident resolutions with the ability to lead when required.
- Engineers enterprise data voice and video networks.
- Establishes and operates network test facilities.
- Maintains a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.
- Works with vendors SOCOM carriers and peers on network design implementation optimization and ongoing management.
- Provides high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology including LAN/WAN hardware switches bridges and routers.
- Creates and develops network projects including power software security features communications devices communications lines and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network.
- Plans models simulates designs installs maintains manages and coordinates the network.
- Monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools (SolarWinds Remedy Riverbed Prism Central InfoBlox F5 F5 MECM Cisco ISE Net MRI Cisco DNA Center Blackberry UEM Splunk Flying Fox WIDS) as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
- Tests and analyzes elements of network facilities including power software security features communications devices communications lines.
- Keeps his or her technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Governments needs.
- Provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians.
- Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 8 years with BS/BA 6 years with MS/MA 10 Years with AS/AA or 12 years with HS
- A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification
- CCNA and Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Associate
- Prior experiencein Network Administration
