Position Summary:
The Particleboard Scheduler Supervisor prepares schedules for the particleboard facilitys production finishing and shipping departments to ensure product availability accurate order fulfillment and product delivery in addition to leading the particleboard shipping crew.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate orders into production and finishing schedules to best maximize process efficiency utilization of material and machining.
- Lead shipping crew and assist and support the day shift management team.
- Monitor and communicate schedule progress as needed.
- Manage inventory within inventory management software to optimize stock rotation.
- Prioritize orders and customer needs to uphold company values .
- Conduct physical inventory counts for daily and monthly financial tracking.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation (both truck and rail) with vendors and sales team at time of order completion.
- Assist sales office as needed with sales questions customer service and order processing.
- Assist in finding solutions to customer concerns/problems in order to achieve timely resolution and provide premier customer service.
- Maintain the working relationship with the bargaining unit by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Lead and participate in teams working on opportunities to strive for safety and manufacturing excellence.
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
- On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit hire and manage the shipping team.
- Responsible for performance management of direct reports in accordance with company values objectives and policies.
- Provide mentoring coaching training and support consistent with developing and sustaining a high-performing and accountable team.

Education and Experience:
- Basic computer skills/knowledge including Microsoft 365.
- Preferred prior experience with inventory management software.
- Prior supervisory experience or relevant prior work experience in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in transportation logistics preferred.
- Relevant industry-related experience preferred.
Environmental Conditions:
May be exposed to dust noise trip hazards and variable weather and temperatures.
Required Personal Protective Equipment:
Individuals must be willing to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Positions may require additional PPE at specific times. Examples of PPE which may be required include high visibility garments hand protection eye protection hearing protection a hard hat foot protection a face shield and a respirator.
