Job Summary
The Academic Technology Center (ATC) of the Division of Information Technology is seeking highly motivated student assistants to assist in providing faculty support and services in the ATC including assistance with reception logistics and other duties as needed.
Under direct supervision the student assistants to the ATC will be responsible for answering phones greeting center guests scanning filing copying and other clerical duties assistance with logistics equipment check-out processing email requests as well as other duties and projects as assigned by the director or coordinator of the ATC. Assisting with password changes and hardware and software configuration. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Self-motivated quick learner with excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills excellent phone skills ability to work cooperatively with university staff and faculty efficient and accurate data entry working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel ability to work with minimal supervision must be detail-oriented punctual and a self starter who can exercise independent judgment. Must be willing to learn new technologies and their application Experience with a Learning Management System (Canvas). Familiarity with academic hardware and software.
Required Qualifications
Background Check
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
