Toast Tables is a fast-growing fully integrated waitlist and reservations platform that allows restaurants to generate and manage demand. It ties in with many of Toasts other systems so that restaurants can bring a magical fully digital end-to-end experience to guests.
As a Software Engineer specializing in front-end development you will play a pivotal role in designing developing and maintaining high-quality user interfaces for our web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into functional and engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of front-end technologies a keen eye for design and a commitment to delivering seamless UI/UX solutions.
- Develop and maintain front-end components and features using and GraphQL
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UI/UX design wireframes into code
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth user experience
- Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic
- Help build highly resilient flexible and scalable architecture
- Plan scope and rapidly prototype solutions using a combination of web technologies
- Make technical decisions and recommendations that will lay the foundation for the future of our strategy
- Stay in tune with customer needs by participating in user interviews and research
Do you have the right ingredients* (Requirements)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 3 years of professional experience in front-end development
- Proficiency in JavaScript HTML CSS GraphQL
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Familiarity with Git version control system
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Growth mindset with an emphasis on learning and self/team-improvement
- Ability to learn quickly within a fast paced environment and comfort with ambiguity
- Flexible in using different tech stacks and languages

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime bonus/commissions if eligible) benefits and equity (if eligible).
