Key Technology is hiring! We are looking for experienced Assembly Technicians to join our Redmond OR Technology has been providing innovative solutions to the food industry since 1948. We are a global leader in the design and manufacture of food processing technology. Products range from conveying digital sorting and process automation technology. Our ongoing innovations provide increased control continuous processing and longer machine life in processed fruits and vegetables nuts dried fruit fresh-cut produce and more. In this position you will assemble a variety of mechanical and electromechanical products by reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and using both power and hand tools.
Qualifications
Essential duties and qualifications include:
- At all times ensures safety is a top priority while performing any part of the job.
- Build mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools such as wrenches screw drivers wire strippers drills air tools grinders etc.
- Able to read and understand blueprints work instructions and/or electrical schematics.
- Clearly communicate any quality or blueprint/schematic issues to Production Manager.
- Use fixtures or templates to build equipment as required per blueprint.
- Interacts with team members to exchange information accurately.
- Reads and follows mechanical drawings and written procedures.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and beginning computer skills. Formal classes from college trade school or military service helpful. One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to read and follow engineering drawings and electrical schematics. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee is frequently required to stand sit kneel crawl and climb. The employee occasionally works at heights and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The work environment includes manufacturing. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
