Position Overview
The Process Development and Automation Intern will support the development implementation and optimization of automated workflows and laboratory systems in a dynamic clinical lab environment. This internship offers hands-on experience with process automation hardware software applications and laboratory instruments while working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties
- Assist in the setup testing and documentation of automated laboratory workflows.
- Shadow and support engineers in system design integration and commissioning activities.
- Help gather requirements and contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and automation platforms.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be highly organized and able to produce high-quality work as part of a team.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability innovation integrity quality and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the companys Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work designated schedule.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for approximately 1% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work seated for approximately 40% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 60% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a mobile device tablet or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 30% of a typical working day.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Associate degree program in Engineering with a minimum of one year of relevant college-level coursework completed toward the major.
- Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation Email usage and word processing.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Record of outstanding academic achievement.
Salary Range:
$35000.00 - $56000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
