Job Description

Rotational Pharmacist

Dunedin Hospital

We are seeking a highly motivated pharmacist to join our friendly team at Dunedin Hospital.

Our southern region serves a population of over 320000 people with hospitals in the 2 main centres servicing the district. Dunedin and Wakari Hospital have approximately 450 beds and Southland Hospital in Invercargill has 180 beds.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for two full-time fixed-term roles covering Janauary 5th 2026 - July 2026 and January 5th 2026 - February 2027 respectively.

The Dunedin Hospital Pharmacy service provides a full clinical and operational service to Dunedin Hospital and we have a full Aseptic Production Unit. We provide a wide range of clinical services encompassing both generalist and specialist skills and are looking for someone to provide a service where their skills allow (be it in the dispensary or clinically).

You will have the ability to work and contribute as part of a team have excellent time management skills be a great communicator in verbal and in written language and have very high standards of ethical and professional practice. A mature approach is essential as is having the ability to adapt to an ever-changing health environment.
