An outstanding independent school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher starting in January 2026. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 students.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate learners.
Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and setting targets.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
Maintain a safe inclusive and positive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Participate in staff meetings professional development and other school activities as required.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching Year 5 students in a primary school setting.
Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Commitment to professional development and best teaching practices.
