Job Description

Are you a passionate English ECT looking to start your teaching journey in a welcoming and well-structured environment

A high-performing secondary school in Leeds is seeking an English ECT to join their English department from January 2026.

  • Full-time English Teacher role (suitable for ECTs)
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 English
  • Exceptional ECT induction and mentor support

This is an ideal role for a newly qualified teacher looking to thrive in a school that places a strong emphasis on literacy creativity and structured support.

Experience and Qualifications

  • UK QTS (awarded or pending)
  • PGCE/SCITT with English specialism
  • Classroom placements in secondary settings
  • Passion for engaging students in literature and writing
  • Legal right to work in the UK
