Job Description

Responsibilities
- Deliver stimulating and comprehensive History teaching across all Key Stages including specialist modules at A-Level focusing on academic depth.
- Commit fully to developing pupils critical thinking source analyse and sophisticated essay writing skills.
- Actively participate in departmental development sharing expertise and contributing to external examination marking (desirable).
- Provide rigorous academic guidance and support to individual pupils contributing to high rates of university entrance.
- Take on pastoral responsibility within a section of the school as a dedicated History Teacher.
Requirements
- A degree in History and demonstrable experience teaching high-achieving pupils (QTS/PGCE preferred).
- Proven track record of strong classroom management and fostering a highly motivated learning environment.
- Seeking a History Teacher committed to the core values of the school and the pursuit of academic excellence.
- The ability to run or contribute to co-curricular activities (e.g. historical society Model United Nations).
