Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive school in Manchester. This is a full-time permanent position starting in January 2026 ideal for an educator with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping every child achieve their personal best.

The staff work collaboratively to provide personalised support and creative learning opportunities for all children.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to track and support student progress.
Foster a positive inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Work closely with teaching assistants therapists and external agencies to deliver coordinated support.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEND best practices and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Support pupils academic emotional and social development.

SEN Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience empathy and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
