Are you a passionate and enthusiastic newly qualified PE Teacher ready to kickstart your career
A vibrant secondary school in Durham is seeking a full-time Female PE Teacher (ECT) to join their energetic and inclusive PE department from January 2026.
Location: Durham
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: Paid in line with MPS ECT scale

Your Role:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons covering games fitness and theory
- Encourage student participation and promote teamwork and wellbeing
- Participate in department planning CPD and extra-curricular provision
- Benefit from dedicated mentoring and observation time
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a PGCE with PE specialism and QTS
- Have strong subject knowledge across PE curriculum areas
- Be enthusiastic about encouraging participation and leading enrichment activities
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
