Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team on the day shift for an 8-week contract in Elkins WV. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients assist nursing staff and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
- Help patients with mobility transfers and positioning.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly.
- Support patients emotionally and socially to promote well-being.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Active CNA certification in the state of West Virginia.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- At least 6 months of recent CNA experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour days shifts.
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
