Job Description
Registered Nurse- Cardiothoracic ICU (Day Shift)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13-week Contract
Shift: 12-hr Days
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay: $2232 - $2412; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiothoracic ICU Registered Nurse for a contract position in Utica NY. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing fresh open-heart surgery patients in a high-acuity fast-paced intensive care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver critical care nursing to post-operative cardiothoracic patients.
- Monitor assess and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Manage ventilators chest tubes central lines and other critical care devices.
- Administer medications fluids and blood products as needed.
- Document patient care using EPIC EHR system.
- Collaborate with physicians RTs and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and recovery.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent CTICU experience.
- Experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients is mandatory.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Additional Info:
- Will accept local candidates.
- Local pay rates will apply to candidates residing within 75 miles.
