Job Summary

Position Overview

The Data Validation Analyst will play a critical role in the next phase of the Data efforts focusing on validating the new Datawarehouse against legacy warehouse data. This role will leverage advanced SQL skills to query compare and reconcile data across both environments research discrepancies and document solutions. The analyst will also evaluate and implement automation tools to streamline validation processes ensuring data integrity and supporting the transition to new systems.

Position Responsibilities

Design and execute data validation scripts to compare legacy and new Datawarehouse environments
Develop and run SQL queries to identify research and resolve data discrepancies
Document validation processes findings and solutions for ongoing reference and governance
Evaluate recommend and implement automation tools to enhance validation efficiency
Collaborate with Business and IT Partners to ensure alignment on validation requirements and solutions
Capture and report on key metrics related to data quality and validation progress
Troubleshoot data issues using SQL and reporting tools
Provide input to data migration and integration projects to ensure data accuracy
Interact with various teams and partners to ensure alignment on all above activities

Position Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
3-5 years experience with SQL including complex queries and data reconciliation
Demonstrated experience in data validation data quality assessment or data migration projects
Experience with automation tools for data validation (e.g. ETL testing data comparison software) a plus
Experience modeling data and/or data governance
Experience with Agile Methodology a plus
Understanding of Vehicle Processing or Servicing environment a plus
Understanding of Automotive Industry a plus
