Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years (possible extension)
Location: Horicon WI 53032
Shift: 1st Shift Must be able to temporarily flex to 3rd shift if needed Occasional OT (up to 10 hours)

Role Overview:
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II Weld to plan coordinate and execute manufacturing engineering activities for moderate-scope projects. The role involves robotic welding process design troubleshooting and optimization to ensure quality efficiency and safety within production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering work for assigned projects.
  • Support design testing and implementation of welding processes and tooling.
  • Program and troubleshoot robotic welding applications (Fanuc systems preferred).
  • Develop process documentation including routings pay standards control plans and OMS.
  • Identify and implement cost quality safety and ergonomic improvements.
  • Investigate and analyze welding issues to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Design and optimize weld cell layouts for improved material flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production tooling and quality.
  • Participate in capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize tools such as PDM SAP WPlanner/MPM OMS and Creo for engineering functions.

Skills & Knowledge:
Manufacturing Engineering Welding Processes Robotic Welding (Fanuc) Tooling & Fixture Design Process Improvement Root Cause Analysis SAP Creo Health & Safety Project Coordination

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Welding emphasis preferred) OR 5 years of relevant welding experience.
  • Experience in programming and troubleshooting robotic weld systems.
  • Knowledge of MIG welding quality processes and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with cross-functional teams.

Top Must-Haves:

  • Hands-on experience with robotic welding (Fanuc systems).
  • MIG welding proficiency.
  • Experience in manufacturing weld process design and optimization.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across engineering and production teams.

Additional Details:

  • No driving required.
