Job Summary

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Fremont NE 68025

Shift: Nights

Schedule

6:45 p.m. 6:45 a.m. three nights per week
Includes rotating holiday coverage and every third weekend.

Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized care and treatment to patients with breathing disorders. This role involves administering therapeutic respiratory procedures managing ventilator support and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Education Requirements

Required: Associate of Science Degree with a Certificate in Respiratory Care
Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree with a Certificate in Respiratory Care

Experience

3 6 months of on-the-job experience to gain familiarity with hospital policies procedures and routines

Licenses & Certifications

Required:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire
- Respiratory Care Practitioner ( or ) license for the work state
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred:
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Skills & Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide clear accurate and professional recommendations to the healthcare team
Proficient in performing respiratory care techniques and using related medical equipment
