Job Summary

As the Merchandise Planner for Gaming (think gaming consoles games gaming accessories or even collectibles!) youll play a key role in driving category performance. Partnering with our buying and supply chain teams youll analyse sales trends forecast demand and optimise stock strategies. Acting as the link between market insights and product availability youll ensure our customers find the items they need and love. This is a dynamic hands-on role where youll bring your commercial insight and planning expertise to shape our category success. 

With strong financial acumen assortment building skills and a real commercial mindset youll work collaboratively to drive optimisation whilst being consistently on top of trends and performance.  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Working with the Buyers on a range of assortment plans controlling markdowns and category spend 
  • Setting budgets and reviewing forward plans 
  • Analysing product performance trends and making recommendations for improvement 
  • Improving stock-flow & product lifecycle management maximising our Stock ROI 
  • Demandplanning/forecasting includes impacts of promotional activity 
  • Interpreting data into a clear narrative & actionable outcomes story telling 
  • Communicating data and strategy to key stakeholder 

Qualifications :

You understand retail and merchandise planning; you always have customers front of mind and can interpret data into stories translate customer mission strategies into actionable decisions that deliver results. All things that describe you collaborative excellent stakeholder management and communications skills strong influencer. 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Retail and merchandise planning experience 
  • Balanced commercial acumen with numerical and analytical skills to translate data into commercial decisions 
  • Decisiveness in our dynamicfast-moving environment 
  • Understanding of branded suppliers working with rebates/scan backs and experience with tech beneficial!
