Job Summary
Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Communication- Effectively exchanging information ideas facts and perspectives with persons inside and outside an organization. Interns will assist with interviews and newsletter development and lead the advisory board. Critical Thinking- Identify and respond to needs based on understanding situational context and logical analysis of relevant information. Interns will participate in decision-making for events funding and collaborative decisions with the advisory board. The mission of the TRIO McNair Scholars Program is to inspire and empower students to succeed in doctoral studies and advanced careers through research scholarly activities and comprehensive personal development at the undergraduate level. Job duties include: Send out McNair Weekly Coordinate the monthly training with the director Attend off-campus events related to McNair with the scholars Assist with recruitment and marketing Opportunity to interview potential McNair students - Social media Mentorship Other duties relevant to the program

Open minded with the ability to be an active listener Team player and able to work independently The desire to build community within McNair Ability to multitask and stay organized Basic computer skills Communication and interpersonal skills
