ABOUT US:
The Live Data unit is responsible for the development delivery and global distribution of real-time sports data across a diverse range of sporting events. Through strong partnerships with rights holders media organizations and betting companies worldwide the unit ensures the seamless provision of accurate high-quality data across 30 different sports disciplines including e-sports.
Within ScoutAdmin our team develops and maintains the core administrative platform that powers the management of scouts events and data collection workflows. This system plays a critical role in ensuring that scouts worldwide can seamlessly register prepare and manage their coverage of live sporting events directly supporting the quality and reliability of the Live Data ecosystem.
THE CHALLENGE:
As a Senior Java Developer in our ScoutAdmin Team youll play a key role in designing building and evolving the administrative backbone of our real-time sports data solutions.
Were looking for someone with strong proficiency in Java complemented by some knowledge of PHP to support legacy components.
We value developers who are passionate about clean maintainable code and have a solid understanding of modern development practices. We follow clean architecture principles enjoy Test-Driven Development (TDD) and practice pair programming.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain scalable high-performance backend services that support scout management and live event preparation.
- Play an active role in leveraging our AWS partnership to scale and optimize ScoutAdmin services.
- Gain deep expertise in the workflows and processes that enable real-time sports data collection worldwide.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term system design.
- Stay hands-on with code while supporting team members in pair programming and knowledge sharing.
ABOUT YOU:
You are a pragmatic and independent developer with a strong focus on backend development. Youre passionate about solving complex problems and building systems that support mission-critical operations. You enjoy working in diverse cross-functional teams and see continuous learning as part of your everyday work.
Required:
- Strong software engineering background with Java
- Some knowledge of PHP (or willingness to learn) to maintain and transition legacy systems
- Proven experience with TDD XP practices and pair programming
- Solid understanding of clean architecture and design principles
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and microservices
- Experience in Agile cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable experience:
- Knowledge of automation testing across multiple levels (BDD performance contract testing)
- Familiarity with modern deployment practices (Docker Kubernetes)
- Previous exposure to administrative or workflow management systems
