We are currently seeking a qualified Planner to join our team in Toronto this role you will support the Strategic Planning Team on the Ontario LineMetrolinxs transformative rapid transit project. As part of the integrated Delivery Partner team youll help analyze project schedules identify future risks and develop mitigation strategies to support senior management decision-making.
The Ontario Line includes the design build operations and maintenance of over 15 km of new alignment and 15 stations delivered through three major PPP contractors and multiple early works packages. Key Responsibilities
- Support program-level schedule development and apply scheduling policies and standards.
- Review contractor schedules for compliance and ensure integration across major contractors.
- Collect verify and integrate work scopes into the total project plan.
- Review scope representation in schedules and establish conceptual scope for schedule studies.
- Analyze scope quantities and productivity; validate labor estimates and productivity assumptions.
- Prepare subject-specific schedules as needed.
- Provide daily support to the Strategic Planning team with schedule extracts and analysis.
- Support the development of scheduling standards and maintain historical schedule data.
- Monitor and report on critical path and overall schedule performance.
- Ensure consistency across reports and issue required project schedule documentation.
- Coordinate inputs for schedule studies and evaluate results for team consideration.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field with 8 years of experience. Equivalent project controls experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Preferred: Experience managing heavy civil and rail projects.
