Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop substation physical and electrical designs including one-line diagrams three-line diagrams general arrangements grounding conduit and control schematics.
- Prepare design drawings technical specifications and bill of materials for new and retrofit substation projects.
- Conduct equipment selection and specify transformers circuit breakers switches buswork relays and other substation components.
- Collaborate with Protection & Control Engineers to integrate relaying and communication systems.
- Perform load flow short circuit and grounding studies as needed.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet NESC IEEE ANSI IEC and utility standards.
- Coordinate with internal design teams utilities and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
- Participate in site visits to support design verification construction and commissioning.
- Provide technical support during procurement installation and testing phases.
- Maintain project schedules budgets and documentation per client and company requirements.
