Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities.
Integrates contractual and Intergalactic Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements.
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support production activity.
Participates in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product processes and designs.
Performs product and process analysis to ensure manufacturing readiness.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM discipline from an accredited college
Ability to Travel up to 20% Infrequent travel to suppliers customers or other locations
DESIRED Qualifications:
1 years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Quality or experience in a regulated industry
Experience with inspection tools (calipers micrometers and other inspection tools)
Experience with NX or comparable system
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
This position is on-site in St. George Utah
