We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Programming or Networking and Communication with a strong interest in controls and automation.
This position will support the development and testing of logistics system components. Youll work closely with a cross-functional team to generate controls documentation layouts and descriptions while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and testing logistics system building blocks
- Generate and maintain controls documentation including layouts and tagging
- Support network setup and configuration tasks
- Conduct audits of network panels and devices
- Learn and apply PLC and HMI configuration and programming concepts
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system performance
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Programming or Networking and Communication
- Interest in controls automation and industrial systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with PLCs HMIs and network systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Requirements for All Co-op/Intern Positions:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Available to complete the entire 3-6 month assignment
- Have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction
- Outstanding problem-solving analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.
