We are seeking a Market Researcher to join our Insights and Prompt Engineering Center of Excellence (COE) contributing to IDCs global market intelligence products and services.
Role Overview
The Market Researcher will conduct and deliver high-quality research on technology markets and their impact on industries. The role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and excellent communication abilities to interpret and present complex information effectively.
You will collaborate with IDCs global analyst teams to support the creation of research reports and presentations across a rapidly evolving IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary research on IT markets and their influence on industries.
- Track and interpret trends in AI data management infrastructure and telecommunications.
- Transform data into actionable insights and contribute to written research reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal experts to ensure timely high-quality deliverables.
- Adopt new research tools and AI-driven methodologies to enhance outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Economics Information Systems Marketing or related fields.
- 23 years of experience in market research competitive intelligence consulting or data analysis ideally in the IT sector.
- Experience in writing research studies and preparing presentations for internal or external audiences.
- Strong interest in the IT market and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI) cloud computing cybersecurity and data management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (C1 or higher) Mandatory requirement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Copilot ChatGPT Gemini or similar).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global fast-paced environment.
- Must reside in or near Mexico City (hybrid work model).
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with technology vendors IT distributors or consulting firms.
- Understanding of IT business models go-to-market strategies and technology adoption.
- Curiosity analytical mindset and collaborative spirit.
Employment Details
- Location: Hybrid 2 to 3 days per week onsite (Lomas de Chapultepec Mexico City).
- Compensation: MXN $30000$35000 gross monthly benefits above the law (PSL).
- The contract is directly with IDC for an indefinite period with no trial period.
- Start Date: November.
- Reporting To: U.S.-based manager.
- Type: Individual Contributor (no direct reports).
