Job Description

GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is an aerospace company specializing in aircraft maintenance services providing comprehensive general and technical support to the aviation and aerospace industry.

GAL AeroStaff. which provides specialized staffing and recruiting services in the Business & Commercial aircraft industry is presently seeking Aircraft Sheetmetal technician for a client based out of Ontario Canada. GAL AeroStaff is an internationally approved OEM service provider / supplier. We offer competitive salaries as well as a professional and ethical work environment.

We offer visa process for Colombian national applying for this position.

Job Description:

The selected candidates will be required to perform heavy maintenance on narrow body aircraft in Ontario Canada.

Main Duties:

  • Assemble rivet drill and bond body structure or components of aircraft according to specifications;
  • Read work orders blueprints and specifications to determine method of fabrication procedures and sequence of operations;
  • Cure bonded structures using portable or stationary curing equipment;
  • Communicate with other workers to fit and align heavy parts or expedite processing of repair parts;
  • Clean strip prime and sand structural surfaces and materials prior to bonding;
  • Fabricate parts using metal fabricating machines saws brakes shears and grinders;
  • Assemble and fit aircraft and structural parts;
  • Perform a subassembly;
  • Align fit assemble connect or install system components using jigs fixtures measuring instruments hand tools or power tools;
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Minimum of 40hrs per week

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to speak read and write the English Language at a B2 level minimum.
  • Must be able to work overtime any shift and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background drug & medical screening subject to TCCA requirements and random substance abuse screening.
  • Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved.
  • Must have a technical college degree in aerospace or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in an MRO
