About Us
Per Ankh Life Skills Inc. (PALS Inc.) has offices in Los Angeles Ventura and Santa Barbara counties and is a trauma-informed adult day program and residential service provider for persons with a primary diagnosis of a developmental and with a history of behavioral deficits and excesses. PALS is dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on independence wellness and community engagement in a safe supportive environment.
Position
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Downey-El Monte area to provide psychological evaluations individual service plan review and behavioral support to adults with developmental disabilities trauma histories and co-occurring conditions. This is a non supervisory role which will work closely with the Program Directors of our El Monte and Downey programs to ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and neuropsychological evaluations
- Provide individual and group therapy where needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (staff nurses behavior analysts families)
- Develop support plans and provide timely reports
- Train staff in trauma-informed and behavioral strategies
- Contribute to program evaluation and wellness initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (APA-accredited)
- California license as a Clinical Psychologist (required)
- Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and trauma
- Strong skills in assessment therapy and interdisciplinary collaboration
