About Us:
The Airbus Facility Management Technical Apprenticeship gives you the full learning experience with invaluable industry experience. Achieve a Level 3 apprenticeship framework in Facilities Maintenance whilst earning a full-time salary and paying ZERO fees to do so.
This unique programme not only offers you a Level 3 hands-on framework but together with vocational training and placements focusing on maintenance methodologies sustainability health and safety and contract management you will develop high engineering skills recognised across the globe. From there your next steps will be moving into Facilities Management where you will learn how to coordinate and manage a team of maintenance professionals to conduct essential work across our facilities.

What you will be doing:
BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEERING SERVICE & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Level 3 qualification provided by GLP Training.
Based on our Stevenage Site for the Apprenticeship timeline with 2 days working at GLP training facility in Worcester every quarter.
Outward Bounds!
During the 2nd year of the apprenticeship you will attend a week of Team Building Activities and Exercises at one of the Outward Bounds UK Sites. Split up into teams consisting of Apprentices of all levels from various Airbus Defence & Space sites you will work as a team to complete daily activities such as Rock Climbing Hiking Abseiling Canoeing and more.
This isnt just about ticking boxes its about growing into a confident future-ready professional who makes a real impact. Along the way youll combine theory with hands-on practice supported by experienced mentors and a team that values innovation safety and excellence
Requirements:
In order to be eligible to this apprenticeship you must have a minimum of:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above which must include Maths English Language and Science
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

Good communication skills good time keeping an excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude.
Be able to work both within a team or individually.
Be able to follow technical instructions.

Important Information:
GOVERNMENT FUNDING: This job is offered as a government funded Apprenticeship subject to eligibility for Apprenticeship Levy Funding. To qualify applicants must meet certain criteria - such as not already holding a qualification at the same or higher level in the same subject area and be eligible under current Apprenticeship funding rules. This job may be particularly suitable for school or college leavers looking to take their first step into the Aerospace industry though all eligible applicants are welcome to apply.
