Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a/an Mechanical Design Engineer located in Henrico VA.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager the Mechanical Design Engineer role involves being responsible for designing validating and implementing innovative and cost-effective product
solutions of complex scope to support the organization in prototype development through full-scale
production.
What a typical day looks like:
Apply complex design practices and procedures to assigned product portfolio in areas likesheet metal design/fabrication soft tooling processes (sheet metal stamping/fabricationtig/mig/spot welding) and equipment; telecom infrastructure products such as chassiscabinets racks shelving etc.
Integrate multiple elements of finished design (such as backplane/interconnect powerdistribution and thermal management).
Work with other members of the development team to support corporate design initiatives.
Prepare recommendations for production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations.
Assist in generating production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations
Support actively customer base with design improvements that enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs.
Provide complex technical support to customer base to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs
The experience were looking to add to our team:
Typically requires 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
Typically requires skill and troubleshooting and diagnostics and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.
