Salary: $110000-$145000

Typical hours: 9x80 schedule (Typically 9-hour workdays to have every other Friday off)

Design Engineer II Explosives (energetics design exp. req.) Description
Our client is searching for a Design Engineer II to join their innovative diverse team in the United States. They offer custom energetic solutions for a variety of verticals including military aerospace oil & gas and mining. This role will be a mixture between supporting new designs for their customers needs as well as playing an integral role in internal R&D efforts to expand their already versatile portfolio. You will have a front row seat in the conceptualization and production of groundbreaking products used across the world. Although theyre smaller in size than their competitors their results are impressive. They can be nimbler with customer needs and with less red tape to cut through leading to shorter decision times. Design Engineer II Explosives (energetics design exp. req.) Responsibilities
Create new designs based on customer specifications
Play an active role in proof-of-concept prototyping testing and small-scale production
Support R&D efforts and the full lifecycle of new product development
Identify systems and equipment necessary to bring new products to market
Oversee internal and customer programs and verify technical requirements are met
Support program management by monitoring budget timelines and resources
Create and execute methods to boost manufacturing effectiveness and reliability
Write technical reports safety assessments and process documentation
Assist with bid decisions and provide accurate projects estimates
Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment of technical requirements
Maintain a safety-first culture and an environment of innovation
Design Engineer II Explosives (energetics design exp. req.) Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering required
4 years of post-degree engineering experience required
Minimum 2 years of energetics design experience required
