Thalle Construction Company Co. Inc. (Thalle) is excited to announce an open opportunity to expand our family of professional teammates!
Thalle is currently seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to fill a Civil Engineer position on a 6 Year $375M () USACE Lock and Dam project located on scenic Kentucky Lake in Grand Rivers Kentucky. This is a full-time onsite position reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager to perform engineering duties to support the Quality Control Program and the site Operations Team.

Job Title: Civil Engineer
Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Quality Control to ensure work performed meets the contract requirements.
- Responsible for preparation of construction work plans.
- Provide review and approval of submittal documents and construction plans and specifications.
- Work with various testing and design firms to generate concrete mix designs and material testing plans.
- Provide review of concrete mix designs and material testing reports for compliance.
- Field inspection of existing conditions and new work during construction and after completion.
- Verify materials delivered meet the specified requirements.
- Interpret information contained within the construction plans vendor & subcontractor submittals and CADD files for field layout and verification.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Graduate Civil Engineer with 3 years experience in the type of work being performed on this project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to move freely about a construction site that at times present a demanding terrain including but not limited to climbing of ladders and stair towers uneven and often wet surfaces and slopes.
- Must be able to talk listen and speak clearly on telephone.
