Job Title: Product Demonstration Specialist

Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group Heil Environmental

Location: Remote USA.

Reports To: Manager Ready Truck

Department: Product Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

Promotes sales and creates goodwill for Heils equipment by demonstrating operation of equipment to addition to the operation perform actual on route operation make equipment presentations at Heil dealerships individual customers locations for increasing sales. Demonstrates products representing technological advances in industry. Displays product and explains features to customers.

Must demonstrate highest ethical and dedicated work standards deliver results with a sense of urgency and work cooperatively in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Promotes sales and creates goodwill for firms products or services driving units to the customer and demonstrating the operation on actual routes.
  • Sales Support: Make regular sales calls on existing major accounts and establish contact with new accounts. Make effective customer presentations by driving the equipment on actual routes.
  • Marketing Support: Promote Heils image throughout the industry by demonstration of the trucks and product features.
  • Working with the Inside and Outside Sales Representatives on joint account calls.
  • Direct and coordinate activities relating to project quotations special option approvals and customer driven needs yet maintain focus on cost reduction and quality improvement requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate Product Improvement Team efforts and effectively manage communication of results.
  • Appraise existing products as opposed to competitive lines relative to design price features etc. and where warranted recommend changes in the sales techniques design improvement or other procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of existing and new technologies that could have application in existing and future product offerings.
  • Maintain knowledge of manufacturers to keep abreast of changes in technology that impacts Heil Environmental.
  • Travel with field personnel including Regional Sales Managers Key Accounts Managers Dealers etc. to promote and educate regarding products.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Refuse industry experience is required.
  • Requires strong analytical and technical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate professionally.
  • Organized and analytical able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel. 100% travel required.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Drivers license required.
  • Strong leadership and control of work processes from beginning to end is necessary. The job demands fast but carefully thought-out results.
  • Exercises high degree of judgment in demonstrating equipment to customers.
  • Works under limited supervision. Predominantly handles matters on own initiative but communicates routinely with cross-functional teams superiors and management.
  • Must be a self-starter and exercise substantial degree of judgment. High standards high quality work is of utmost importance. Decisions must be strategic and well thought out and analyzed.

Ethics and Work Standards: Maintain the highest ethical and work standards while promoting the same attributes in co-workers and others. Ensure that all business activities with both internal and external customers to be performed with a professional demeanor and that all participants be held accountable to this high standard.

Communication: Expresses thoughts clearly both orally and in writing using good grammar. Presents concise well organized reports in Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel. Listens to understand input feedback and concerns. Provides complete information in an open honest and straightforward manner. Responds promptly and positively to questions and requests.

Teamwork and Relationships: Works with other employees willingly and in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork. Supports cooperation. Demonstrates a commitment to the entire business and is supportive of all initiatives (company and departmental) to help grow Environmental Solutions Group business in the United States and abroad. Cooperates fully with others to achieve organizational goals. Is tactful courteous and considerate. Embraces a positive outlook. Is respected and trusted by others.

Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or creates opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects programs and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns problems and progress of work in a timely manner.
