Job Title: Sanitation/Housekeeping

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr.

Shift: 1st and 2nd

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Sanitation Worker to join a pistachio processing facility in Firebaugh CA. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the plant to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment production areas floors walls and common areas.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.
Clean up debris dust product waste and other materials from machinery and floors.
Operate sanitation equipment such as pressure washers floor scrubbers and hand tools.
Properly mix and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS).
Remove trash and recyclables to designated areas.
Communicate any safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
Support plant operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous sanitation housekeeping or janitorial experience preferredideally in a food processing or agricultural environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced physically demanding setting (standing walking lifting up to 50 lbs).
Comfortable working around machinery cleaning chemicals and varying environmental conditions (heat dust etc.).
Must follow safety and hygiene protocols consistently.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Firebaugh location.

Work Environment:

Indoor/outdoor environment in a pistachio processing facility.
Exposure to noise dust and varying temperatures.
May require overtime weekends or extended hours during peak season.
