Position Details:
As part of the Selective Mutism Service team you will report to Directors of Selective Mutism Service. You will gain hands-on experience delivering evidence-based behavioral interventions for children with Selective Mutism. This unpaid internship offers structured training and direct supervision from the Directors of the Selective Mutism Service providing a valuable learning opportunity in a clinical group setting. The intern will participate in weekly and seasonal programs designed to enhance practical skills and professional development. A minimum one-year commitment is required.
This is an unpaid part-time (minimum of 3 hours per week which may vary based on the needs of the program) fully on-site internship located in our NYC headquarters office.
Required Schedule
Interns must be available Thursdays from 3:30 pm 5:30 pm EST for weekly in-person groups as well as during seasonal Brave Buddies programs our signature group-based intensive program for Children with SM.
See below for required dates and times including tentative 2025-2026 Brave Buddies program dates. Interns are expected to attend the entirety of each program with the exception of approved religious observances:
