Job Summary

Blueland is reimagining everyday cleaning essentials with safe products that are free from single-use plastic and eliminate the need to choose between whats safe for your family good for the planet and proven to work. With 45 patents granted & 39 patents pending worldwide Bluelands innovative products have diverted over 1 billion single-use plastic bottles from landfills and oceans and 7.5 million pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere since 2019. While traditional cleaners are packaged in plastic and may contain up to 95% water all Blueland products utilize tablet or powder formats designed to be used directly or mixed with household tap water and come in compostable or recyclable packaging. From the kitchen sink to the laundry room we create products families can trust and afford to use over and over (and over) again. Available on and nationwide at Target Costco Whole Foods and select local retailers.


Blueland was featured on the Season 11 premiere of Shark Tank and successfully secured an investment. The Role:

Were looking for an Interim Head of Brand to guide our voice vision and creative direction during an exciting stage of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for a brand builder who knows how to combine strategy with creativity and whos passionate about storytelling that sparks emotion builds trust and inspires action. The role requires being a doer and coach with a team of 4 reporting to you. It also requires balancing a strong creative mind with an analytical mindset to evaluate performance and be responsible for making sure our brand shines across every touchpoint including organic social influencer growth ads brand campaign efforts emails and collabs/partnerships - so that every experience feels true to who we are and why we exist.

What youll do:

    • Oversee our social strategy
    • Lead our efforts across IG FB Pinterest Tik Tok Shop Linkedin

    • Drive Creative Consistency and Ensure Brand Standards are met
    • This includes reviewing and approving Emails SMS DTC site copy product naming and reviewing product claims language.

    • Help Drive Breakthrough Marketing Ideas
    • This will be part of an ongoing effort to develop a new 360 brand campaign that encompasses PR growth media and brand activation.
    • Oversee our PR agency and creative agency
    • Help develop and brief in new growth ad creative
    • Partner with product marketing on new product launch campaigns

    • Work Cross-Functionally
    • Lead and energize our internal creative team and external partners.
    • Work closely with product growth and community teams to ensure our brand is at the heart of everything we do.


What we are looking for:

    • A seasoned brand leader (8 years) with experience in consumer products and/or mission-driven companies.
    • A creative thinker with a strong strategic backboneyou know how to make brands stand out while driving and measuring results.
    • A storyteller who loves to develop strong creative ideas and drive efficient and effective execution
    • A team leader who can set a standard for the team while inspiring them to do great work
    • Someone with experience leading teams and agencies and who thrives in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments.
    • Above all someone whos passionate about sustainability and shaping culture.


Contract: Interim (Approximately 5 months with the possibility to extend) 2-3 days per week working 20 hours a week

Location: We are based in NYC and people come into the office 1 to 2 days a week.
