Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant group in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented culinary professional to develop under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in a world-class kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes across various sections of the kitchen
Support the team in maintaining consistent standards presentation and flavour
Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and health regulations
Assist with stock management ordering and storage of ingredients
Train and support junior kitchen staff where appropriate
Contribute ideas and creativity to menu development and seasonal specials
Requirements:
Previous experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality kitchen
Strong culinary skills and a passion for learning and developing professionally
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
Knowledge of kitchen operations stock management and food safety regulations
Team player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
