Job Summary
This role is ideal for a passionate motivated Demi Chef looking to work in a fast-paced high-volume buffet-style breakfast service. Youll play a key role in delivering a consistent high-quality breakfast experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs with the preparation and delivery of buffet-style breakfast service ensuring variety freshness and quality at all times
- Oversee assigned breakfast sections ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Uphold exceptional food presentation and hygiene standards maintaining cleanliness and organisation across all workstations
- Prepare mise-en-place and support stock control by monitoring inventory minimising waste and adhering to rotation procedures
- Help train and guide junior team members or apprentices where required
- Liaise with chefs and kitchen leadership to ensure consistent service and timely replenishment during peak service period.
Qualifications :
Key Requirements:
- Formal culinary trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry preferred.
- Proven experience in high-volume buffet-style breakfast service including preparation presentation and replenishment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on maintaining food quality and presentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple stations.
- Adaptable with a proactive attitude and the ability to respond positively to changing demands and operational needs.
