Avery Dennison is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious MBA Intern to join our Indirect Procurement team. This is a unique high-impact role designed for a future leader with a proven track record of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. As a strategic procurement intern you will assume responsibility for a portfolio of either Professional Services or Freight spend driving value and identifying strategic opportunities in a fast-paced environment. As a key component of our talent development strategy this internship is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to deliver significant business results.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Strategic Category Management: Take ownership of one or more categories such as Professional Services Freight or other categories engaging with key business stakeholders to understand their needs and analyze current spend patterns.
- High-Impact Project Leadership: Identify scope and lead 1-2 strategic projects focused on optimizing spend generating measurable cost savings or improving efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and support on ad hoc business requests towards Procurement.
- Sourcing & Supplier Management: Lead RFX/tenders negotiate contracts and provide hands-on support for strategic projects as well as urgent supplier-related issues and ad-hoc requests.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes leveraging data and strategic insights to enhance the teams capabilities.
- Leadership Development: Actively participate in team meetings and initiatives demonstrating a proactive positive attitude and a hunger to grow in the organisation.
The preferred start date is November 3rd 2025. The ideal candidate is available 4-5 days a week for 5-6 months. The location of the position is our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The internship can be done remotely for up to 3 days per week.
Qualifications :
What kind of candidate are we looking for
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in a Dutch university
- Ability to navigate in an uncertain and ambiguous environment and work around data issues
- Strong analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to extract data from stakeholders and systems turn it into actionable insights scope out projects and drive them with speed
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- A self-starter with a positive attitude a high degree of proactiveness and the ambition to succeed in a demanding role
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills
- Working knowledge of procurement systems like Ariba or SAP is a plus
