Job Summary
The role - whats you day to day going to look like
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records assists in month-end closings reconciliations and contributes to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile bank statements vendor accounts and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with monthly quarterly and annual closings
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
- Support audits by providing documentation and information as needed
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Assist with payroll and tax filings (depending on the companys needs)
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Qualifications :
Requirements to succeed
- Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (e.g. GAAP IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP QuickBooks Oracle NetSuite Workday)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have its a bonus!
- Experience in SAAS.
- Knowledge of Spanish tax regulations and payroll processes
- CPA or equivalent certification (a plus)
- Experience working in a Big4
